Modalal Cement Company Management Systems Policy

Modalal Cement Company, one of the largest producers and suppliers of all types of gray cement, located in Kermanshah province with two clinker production lines, each with a capacity of 3500 tons per day, relying on a process approach and risk-based thinking, has taken a big step towards improving and maintaining the organization's performance in order to maintain and enhance customer satisfaction, environmental performance, occupational safety and health, employee health, as well as optimal and efficient energy consumption in order to comply with applicable legal requirements and regulations. Therefore, this organization considers itself committed to complying with the following:

• Compliance with legal and other applicable requirements related to quality, environmental aspects, occupational health and safety, as well as energy efficiency, use and consumption, while taking into account the reasonable expectations of interested parties.

• Continuous improvement of the integrated management system in accordance with legal requirements, applicable needs and expectations of customers and other interested parties.

• Efforts to prevent occupational injuries and illnesses, continuously improve the performance of the occupational health and safety management system, eliminate or reduce risks and dangers in this area, and promote a culture of safety and health.

• Environmental protection, considering the nature of the organization, pollution prevention and continuous improvement of the performance of the environmental management system

• Ensuring the proper identification, provision, and maintenance of required information and resources, supporting the provision of efficient equipment and services, as well as planning activities related to achieving energy goals and continuously improving the performance of the energy management system.

• Creating appropriate infrastructure for processes in order to fulfill the mission of Modalal Cement (producing various types of gray cement)

• Attracting motivation, consultation, and participation of employees in the effectiveness of current management systems through the employee participation system and other applicable methods.

It also defines organizational goals in accordance with the nature, objectives, and strategic direction of the organization within the following framework:

1. Control and reduce deviations in product quality parameters, strive to maintain optimal conditions, and economically produce cement with appropriate efficiency (by increasing capacity, reducing downtime, and reducing production costs).

2. Managing and striving to reduce organizational risks as well as adverse effects of operational activities during work, occupational illness, and environmental aspects with a process approach and risk-based thinking.

4. Development and maintenance of green spaces and management of water resources, optimal use of materials, and optimal and efficient utilization of energy resources (electrical and fossil).

5. Establishing a neat, clean, and safe work environment based on the workplace cleanliness system, through identifying, controlling, and reducing safety, health, and environmental risks of the factory and building a culture at all levels of the organization.

6. Effective management of physical assets through updating, maintaining, and supplying equipment and designing usable, energy-efficient work environments.

• Attracting motivation, consultation, and participation of employees in the effectiveness of current management systems through the employee participation system and other applicable methods.

In order to achieve the above commitments and goals, the company has implemented an Integrated Quality Management System (IMS) in accordance with the standards of the ISO9001:2015 Quality Management System, the ISO14001:2015 Environmental Management System, and the ISO45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, as well as an energy management system based on the ISO50001:2018 standard and the Workplace Cleanliness System (5S), at all levels and is continuously committed to its effectiveness and continuous improvement.
